2.6 Electric Receiver

2.6 Electric Receiver

So far, we know that the circuit's passive elements mainly comprise capacitors, inductors, and resistors. However, the actual electrical equipment consists of more intricate elements such as transistors, diodes among others. Specifically, disciplines such as electronics, or power electronics comprise other components that are also useful for many applications. It is common that an electric receiver contains various passive elements (Fig. 2.19).

A rectangular circuit board with various electronic components, including resistors, capacitors, integrated circuits, and connectors, is placed on top of a detailed circuit diagram. The diagram underneath shows lines and symbols representing electrical connections and components, providing a schematic view of the circuit board's design.

An electric receiver is a device that converts electrical energy into another form of energy. Objectively speaking, an electric receiver is a device whose purpose is to transform electrical energy into heat, mechanical, or others. For instance, a motor comprises resistors, coils, and capacitors, among other components. This is an example of an electrical receiver in action.
